Teenagers and Adults Classes
At Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu we strive to provide our students with more than just a self-defence program. We want our students to take full advantage of the many benefits that come with training in martial arts.
IMPROVED CONFIDENCE
Confidence is one of the key benefits of training in martial arts. Students at Hiscoe Jiu-Jitsu have expressed that they overcome being shy or nervous around other people. Others have improved their public speaking abilities while some have described just feeling better about themselves.

IMPROVED FITNESS AND HEALTH
Jiu-Jitsu is a physical activity which requires us to be active. When starting you may only be able to participate at a certain level until you feel tired. As you persevere and keep working at it, your fitness and stamina will increase. In time you will see the improvements in your ability to participate and push yourself no new levels.
WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
With the increase in stamina and strength you will also notice a change in your body. Some of my students have told me they have lost a significant amount of weight by taking classes.
FUN
Working with others is definitely more fun than working alone. If you are that person who just hates being in the gym alone then martial arts training may just be for you. You will develop new friendships, while at the same time getting yourself in shape.

Stress is part of life, dealing with work, careers, bills, kids...etc.. It has been scientifically proven that exercise can help lower the effects of stress. This is compounded when you exercise in a supportive and healthy environment surrounded by friends.
